Thirty days. That is the window. Inside it, if the light is not right for your work, send it back — the return path is short and the refund math is simple.
This page is specific about the conditions so there is no back-and-forth later. Read the first three sections and you will know exactly where you stand.
Return Window
DAYATECH accepts returns within 30 days of delivery (the delivery date on carrier tracking, not the order date).
If the 30-day window has passed, the order becomes a warranty case — that path has its own rules and is covered separately.
The 30-day window applies to all four SKUs: DY-363B, DY-368, DY-363Z, DY-363D.
Return Conditions
For a return to qualify, the following conditions must be met:
- Within 30 days of delivery (per tracking date).
- Product in resellable condition — original packaging, no scratches beyond light handling marks, all original accessories and documentation included.
- Battery adapter unmodified — contacts clean, no cuts to wiring.
- Order number or invoice — required for refund processing.
Returns that arrive outside these conditions are processed as partial refunds at the discretion of our support team (typical reduction 15–30% depending on condition).
What counts as “resellable”:
- Light works as shipped, no electrical fault.
- Enclosure has no cracks, gouges, or field-use scuffs.
- Packaging is intact, with inserts and original labels.
What does not:
- Units that have been mounted to vehicles, towers, or permanent structures and shows hardware marks.
- Units that have been in a water environment beyond their IP rating (note: only DY-363D carries IP65).
- Units that show battery leakage or corrosion damage.
Non-Defect Returns vs Warranty Claims
The two paths are different:

If you are not sure which path applies, email service@dayatechlight.com with your order number and we will route it correctly. You do not lose any rights by asking first.
Starting a Return
- Email service@dayatechlight.com with order number and reason.
- Within 1 business day you will receive an RMA number and return instructions.
- Pack the product in original packaging. Include a printed copy of the RMA email inside the box.
- Ship using your preferred carrier with tracking. We recommend insuring for the full purchase value.
- Once we receive and inspect the return (typically 1–2 business days after delivery), the refund is processed.
No RMA = return may be lost or delayed. Please get the number first.
Refund Timing
- Refund issued: within 2 business days of return inspection.
- Card posting: typically 3–10 business days depending on your bank.
- Original payment method only: refunds return to the original card or account.
- Partial refunds: issued within the same window, with a breakdown emailed explaining the deduction.
You will receive a confirmation email when the refund is issued on our side.
Restocking and Return Shipping
Non-defect returns (this page):
- Return shipping: customer-paid.
- Restocking fee: none for non-defect returns in resellable condition.
- If the return is in degraded condition, a restocking or condition-reduction fee applies (15–30% of purchase price).
Damage in transit (carrier fault):
- Return shipping: paid by DAYATECH via prepaid label.
- No restocking fee.
Warranty returns:
- Return shipping: prepaid label issued with the warranty RMA. No restocking fee.
Full fee structure is disclosed before you ship the return — you can cancel the return request and keep the product if the conditions don't work for you.
Exchanges
DAYATECH does not process direct exchanges. If you want a different SKU:
- Start a return for the current item.
- Place a new order for the replacement.
This keeps refund timing clean and lets you lock in current pricing on the new SKU.
International Returns
For CA, EU, UK, AU, NZ orders:
- Same 30-day window, calculated from delivery date.
- Return shipping is customer-paid.
- Customer is responsible for export documentation and any return duties.
- Refunds exclude original outbound shipping cost and any import duties paid at delivery.
