Stepless Zoom, Built Into the Lens
Most work lights have a fixed beam — you move the light, not the beam. The DY-363Z changes that with a zoomable lens: twist the collar to go from a tight, long-distance spot to a wide flood, stepless, with no clicks. Dial it exactly where you need it and the beam shape follows.
The 3,000-lumen output is measured to the LM-79 protocol for real lumen and color figures, and the design is backed by a German Utility Patent. Because the LEDs run at high luminous efficacy, they put energy into light rather than heat — reduced flicker keeps the light easy on the eyes when you are working under it all day.

MAKITA pack snaps right on

Changed a tire on the shoulder with it
Blew a tire out on a country highway and pulled onto the shoulder after dark. Opened this up to wide and it lit the whole side of the car and the work area so I could see the lug nuts and get the spare on. Felt a lot safer with the area lit up. Good to have in the car.

Lives in my trunk for the long hauls
I drive backroads a lot, so this stays in the trunk. Broke down at night a few weeks back and zoomed the beam out to a tight spot to flag where I was while I waited on help, then dimmed it down to save the battery and it still had plenty left a couple hours later. Comfortable to hold for a long job
What I didn't expect to like so much is how it sits in the hand. Did a long alternator swap holding it in one hand and wrenching with the other, and the balance is just right — solid and comfortable to hold the whole time, easy on the wrist. Zoomed in tight to see down into the bracket, opened it wide when I pulled back to work on the whole front. Battery went the distance too. For the price this has become my go-to grab light in the garage.

Zoom twists smooth and stays put
The zoom is what makes this one — it twists nice and smooth and holds right where you set it, spot or wide. Bright, great battery life, no issues at all. I zoom in tight to find something that rolled off, then open it up to light the whole work area. Genuinely a two-in-one light. Happy I bought it.
